TLS Introduction of Rexroth Hydrostatic Transmission

In relation to the current general supply challenges, Bobcat Company has decided to introduce a new hydrostatic transmission supplier: Bosch Rexroth. This supplier change is planned to be implemented starting mid-June 2023. The transmission change will only affect PF2 (Platform 2) range R-Series equipped with Stage V engines. Please find below the range of serial numbers and corresponding model names that will benefit from these new hydrostatic components:

  • TL34.65HF 135V -> B696 11001 & Above
  • TL35.70 100V -> B698 11001 & Above
  • TL38.70HF 135V -> B69B 11001 & Above
  • TL43.80HF 135V -> B69D 11001 & Above
  • TL43.80HF 135V -> B69E 11001 & Above

This article is intended to give a brief overview of the overall installation and the associated technical evolution compared to previous Danfoss hydrostatic components.

General Installation Overview:

Apart from these main components changes, other smaller scale evolutions were needed:

  • New Drive Controller
  • New Engine Harness
  • New Frame Harness

The gearbox speed sensor is no longer used as the hydro motor speed sensor now supplies all required information instead. The calibration procedures have also evolved due to the use of a different technology:

  • Transmission calibration procedure: still available from the display but the procedure differs from previous hydrostatic pump calibration.
  • Hydrostatic pump pressure sensor calibration: available from the service analyzer. Replaces the swash plate sensor calibration procedure. The calibration procedure can be found in the following knowledge article: TLS R-Series Rexroth Hydrostatic Pump Transmission Calibration (EN).
