FAQ

Which hydraulic oil should I use in my Bobcat equipment?

  • Bobcat Superior SH has been formulated to satisfy Bobcat engineering most stringent requirements and is the choice for all Bobcat equipment, except recently introduced S86/T86 compact loaders.

Which hydraulic oil should I use for the recently introduced S86/T86 compact loaders?

  • New hydraulic oil Bobcat Hydraulic VG 68 is required in S86/T86 compact loaders when operating in a warm climate or in harsh operating conditions.
  • When operating the S86/T86 compact loaders in cold climate, where a better cold start performance is needed (below -12°C), we do recommend the use of our current Bobcat Superior SH Hydraulic / Hydrostatic.

Do I need to flush my Bobcat machine before switching hydraulic oils?

No, it is not necessary to flush the hydraulic system. It is expected that the resulting oil color will be affected (Bobcat Superior SH is orange, the ISO VG 46 used in machines imported from North America is blue, while the ISO VG 68 for S86/T86 imported from North America is red) but the performance will not.

Is Bobcat Superior SH compatible with Bobcat Hydraulic VG 46 and VG 68?

Yes, Bobcat Superior SH, used in EMEA region, is compatible with VG46 and VG68 for top-up in any ratio.
