New Advanced Ethylene Glycol (EG) Engine Coolant from Bobcat

The Bobcat aftermarket parts department is introducing the new Bobcat Advanced Ethylene Glycol (EG) Engine Coolant, set to replace the current EG engine coolant (PN 6987804A). This updated product will be available for sale starting in March. The change comes as part of a coolant transition in our production facilities.
The new EG coolant will be offered in a wider range of package sizes than the current version and will be available exclusively as a ready-to-use premix. Below is an overview of the available coolant types and part numbers from aftermarket parts.

For servicing existing machine populations
- Machines currently factory-filled with purple Propylene Glycol (PG): Aftermarket part numbers 6987793A, 6987793B, 6987793C, and 6987793D should be used for topping up the cooling system. This PG coolant will remain available for servicing the existing machine population. However, if you completely drain the cooling system, the new EG coolant may be used as a replacement.
- Machines using the current pink Ethylene Glycol (EG) engine coolant (Part number 6987804A for Telehandlers): This coolant will only be available until stock runs out. Once the pink EG coolant is phased out, these machines will use the new red Advanced Ethylene Glycol (EG) engine coolant for top-ups. Mixing a large quantity of the new EG coolant with the phasing-out pink EG is not recommended. Instead, we advise a complete drain of the cooling system and a refill with the new Advanced EG coolant.
Warning
- Pay attention to the coolant type used in your machine. DO NOT MIX PG and EG COOLANTS.
