Hello there! My name is Matyáš Míka, and I’m the person behind some of the articles you read, as well as the campaigns and marketing materials we prepare for you. Today, I’d like to share a more personal story with you—so buckle up and join me on a short adventure!

Laos? I know—it’s completely out of our region. So, how does this make sense? I went there on vacation to fully experience the wilderness and dusty roads on dirt bikes with two of my friends (I’m the one with the beard).

The adventure began on the first day of our trip when we encountered a landslide that completely wiped out the road. What a lovely situation—especially when the sun was only an hour away from setting! I couldn’t help but notice that instead of Bobcat machines, they used huge excavators for clearing the road. While effective, they weren’t nearly as agile or versatile as Bobcat equipment. The work wasn’t finished until after dark, so we had to spend the night in a nearby guesthouse… with no lights.

The next day we were stopped by another landslide. Long story short, we faced three more over the course of our 700 km trip. But that wasn’t all—my bike decided to stop starting! I had to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty to get it running again. As I worked, I couldn’t help but think: does this rental company even have a maintenance program? And of course, why did it have to be my bike?

If you haven’t thought about BobCARE Planned Maintenance until now, this might be the perfect time. With persistence, I managed to fix the bike, and we carried on.

By the end of the adventure, my bike seemed done for, and I found myself hoping the rental company had some kind of Protection Plus program in place for it. It was a fairly new bike but showed plenty of wear and tear after our rough riding.

In the end, I realized something important: I want to bring Bobcat’s peace of mind with me wherever I go. That’s why I always keep the essentials close—right on my back.
