Legends of Bobcat

Once again, we’d like to express our gratitude to all our dealers for their impressive work and excellent cooperation with Bobcat. As we consider articles for our current newsletter, the idea of celebrating your success with us has emerged. Sharing the stories behind the success of dealers worldwide will hopefully bring not only interesting narratives but also inspiration for others to follow in the same footsteps.

Today’s story is about Justin Wright, National Technical Manager at Goscor. Congratulations to Justin Wright on his remarkable 20-year journey with Bobcat! To learn more about Justin’s story, we reached out to Brian Rachman, National Operations Director at Goscor to tell us more. We dive into the early days of Justin’s career and his passion for Bobcat.

Now, let’s hear directly from Brian:

“Justin started with me at our Bobcat branch in Durban at the tender age of 20 in 2003, after leaving a company in Empangeni where he sold welding equipment and consumables. His very first job at my branch was Bobcat parts counter sales. He then progressively grew into equipment sales, product support, workshop manager, and finally, National Technical Manager.

Justin has always excelled in every facet of our business, is always willing to help anyone no matter where, and is just a great go-to person! In one of his interesting adventures, while working for me, he flew into one of the deepest parts of Africa to carry out repairs on a Telescopic because no one else had the experience to do this repair. On this remote site, he lived in some of the most basic rustic conditions, using a bucket of water and a cloth to bathe himself. Oh, and he did manage to find a beer after a long day’s work and repaired the machine. Then it was time to depart back to South Africa, where he and others had to literally push the chartered light aircraft out of the mud and rain onto the runway for the plane to take off.

Over the last 20 years, Justin has become like a son to me. He possesses incredible electrical, electronic, and hydraulic knowledge, not to mention his unwavering passion and dedication for the brand and for what he does.

Justin always goes above and beyond the call of duty, either to resolve problems or share his wealth of knowledge with fellow employees.

Justin, AKA Lighty, your hard work and dedication to the Bobcat and GEE business are immeasurable. We value what you have contributed and continue to contribute to the business every day. A huge congratulations, bud!”
