My Machine Guided Troubleshooting Updates

Bobcat will be making a change to how the Troubleshooting guides function on My Machine. Currently, it’s possible to click one of the suggested Possible Causes and it’ll take you to that solution and end the guide. However, depending on how you answer the questions that may not be the root cause of your issue, the current guide could lead to a misleading diagnosis.

From 1^st June we’ll be making an update to make this list “read-only” meaning that you’ll no longer be able to click on the possible solution and go to the end of a guide. You will need to continue to answer the questions step by step.

To provide you with additional details on the Possible causes list, the initial ranking is based on the position of the possible cause in the troubleshooting guide. This means that the 1^st possible cause will be listed 1^st, while the least possible cause in the guide will be listed last. In addition, the list is adaptive and could change over time. When you use a guide, we track the possible cause you selected, and so the more often a possible cause is selected, the higher will be its ranking on the list.
